Shipping, Return, and Payment Policies

Returns and Exchanges: 
Instock and Made to Order Items: Wallypop accepts returns and will offer a full refund or exchange (minus shipping costs) on unused, unwashed items. Return requests must be within 15 days of ship date; exchange requests must be within 30 days of ship date. (International orders or orders that took an exceptionally long time to be delivered have some flexibility here, based on delivery date, if the order was sent with tracking or delivery confirmation.) Please contact us in advance for instructions and a return authorization. Refunds or exchanges will be made only once the items have been returned for inspection. We are only able to refund or credit you for the amount of the items purchased, not for shipping expenses. If you wish to exchange your item, you are responsible for the cost of shipping the new item to you. The addition of embroidery makes an item nonreturnable. MTO Pocket diapers or AIOs with cotton or flannel on the outside as a decorative layer are nonreturnable.

Seconds: Second-Quality items are sold as is. No returns or exchanges on items sold as seconds.

Custom Items: No returns or exchanges on items sold as custom unless the product is defective (see "guarantee," below). A "Custom" item is defined as one that has been altered to your specifications beyond the options available using the "Made To Order" order form.

Items sewn with Customer-Provided Fabric: Exchanges and returns are not available for products sewn with customer-provided fabric, unless there is a sewing defect, as per our guarantee below.

Guarantee: 
We guarantee quality and workmanship on our products. This includes defects in sewing, elastic, and snaps. Repelling or leaking are not considered defects (repelling and leaking are most often caused by laundry problems or user error, see Help!). All returns for defective items must be requested within 30 days of shipment. Please email for authorization in advance of returning your items.

Shipping:
Shipping Cost. This is one of the most common things we get questions about - what are our shipping costs? We charge actual shipping costs plus a small handling fee. You can see exactly what your shipping will be once you start the checkout process. I understand some customers do not prefer this method of determining shipping, which is unfortunate, since this method will give you an exact shipping amount using several different carriers. I cannot give you a very accurate shipping estimate by email unless you tell me exactly what you want to buy plus your zip code. (And if you're going to type all that out, you may just as well go thru the cart, right?)

We try to mail your order within 2 business days. However, this not always possible due to the nature of our business. If shipping will take longer than 4 business days, we will email you to let you know. We do not typically send shipment notifications.

Items ordered together are shipped together. Generally speaking, items ordered separately are shipped separately.

We do not generally send "your order has shipped" emails. You can assume your order has gone out in a timely fashion unless you hear from us. (We used to send these emails, then did a survey of customers and found that most customers either ignored them or they were filtered by spam filters. Considering this, we thought we had better ways to spend our time - like getting your orders ready to go.)

We ship via a number of carriers, you may select your preferences in our shopping cart. Wallypop is not responsible for packages once they leave our hands. All packages except those mailed first class are sent with delivery confirmation.

The length of time it will take your order to reach you once it's shipped varies. Priority packages are usually delivered within 1-3 days. UPS Ground varies depending on how far you are (see map below). FedEx Home Delivery takes 1-5 business days, you can use their website for a rough calculation.

We are happy to ship internationally. Sometimes the shipping calculations made by our shipping calculator are not correct for international shipments. If adjustments are necessary, we will confirm shipping charges with you before shipping your items. You are responsible for all duties, taxes, fees, customs, and any other charges incurred during the shipping process. We will not falsify customs documents.

Payment:
In Stock and Made to Order Items: You must pay in full for items from our instock store before we will mail them to you. We do offer a layaway program. You must pay in full for made to order items before we will begin work on them.

Custom Items: You must pay in full in advance. Wallypop does not accept returns on custom items unless they are defective.

Payment: Wallypop can accept payment through PayPal (funded: wally@wallypop.net, credit card: CCPaypal@wallypop.net) or by credit card. Local customers may also pay by check.

We regret that as of 3/21/2008, we no longer are able to accept money orders.
